Scribe Academy - Navigation Guide

Scope 

This guide applies to all Scribe Accounts users who need to access training materials, including Clerks, RFOs, Administrators, and Councillors with system access.

Prerequisites 

• A valid Scribe Accounts login
• Appropriate user permissions to access the Learning/Academy area
• Internet connection and a web browser

Procedure 

1. Log in to Scribe Accounts

   • Navigate to the Scribe Accounts login page and enter your credentials.

2. Access the Learning area via your profile

   • Click Academy on the left-hand main menu.
   • The system will redirect you to the Scribe Academy platform.

     Open the Scribe Communitys

   • The Courses area will display all available training videos and materials.
   • Click any course tile to begin a video or module.

   Each course contains the exact same content as our live training, and has a clear, easy-to-follow layout, split into three sections:

   • Introduction – Find out what the course covers and what you’ll learn.
   • Lessons – Work through bite-sized training videos and content in your own time.
   • Next steps – Understand what to do next and put your learning into practice.

   Whether you’re new to Scribe or want to brush up on a particular feature, there’s a course to help you get more from the system. Our training covers a wide range of topics across all apps, including:

   • Getting started with Scribe Accounts
   • Data entry and bank reconciliation

   • Sales invoices and purchase orders
   • Budgeting and forecasting
   • Training for clerks joining an existing council using Scribe

   With the various courses available, you can focus on the areas most relevant to you, revisit lessons whenever you need a refresher, and track your progress as you go.

   Ready to explore?

   Simply log in to Scribe and select the Academy from the menu on the left-hand side. From there, you can browse all available courses for that particular app, pick up where you left off and explore something new.
