▶️ Scribe Data Storage & Backups
Scribe is hosted in Amazon’s ISO27001-certified data centre in London, utilizing highly secure, scalable, and redundant infrastructure to ensure maximum uptime and data integrity.
Infrastructure & Scaling
- Web Servers: Operated across multiple auto-scaling web servers to seamlessly handle traffic demands.
- Database Management: Built on Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS) for reliable performance.
Data Encryption
- At Rest: All stored data is fully encrypted within the data centre.
- In Transit: All data transmitted to and from Scribe is encrypted during transit.
Backup & Disaster Recovery
- Continuous Backups: Automated data backups featuring up to 30 days of point-in-time recovery.
- Long-Term Storage: Off-site monthly backups are securely maintained for a rolling 3-year period.
Access Control & Network Security
- VPC Isolation: The database is strictly confined to a Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) and is only accessible from local machines within that network.
- IP Restriction: Remote access to the VPC is heavily restricted and locked down by specific IP addresses.
- Credential Management: Administrative and remote access passwords are high-strength, restricted to key personnel, centrally managed, and secured using PBKDF2 cryptography.
Compliance & Auditing
- Security Audits: Routine security audits are conducted to maintain industry-standard protection.
- Penetration Testing: Regular penetration tests are performed to proactively find and patch potential vulnerabilities.
