Managing Customer Types

Use this guide to clean up your workspace by archiving old customer types, viewing your archived history, or restoring a record if you need it back.

 Archiving a Customer Type

Archiving hides a customer type from your daily view without permanently deleting its history.

1.Locate the record:

Navigate to SetupCustomer Types and find the specific record you want to archive.

2.Open the menu:

Click the three vertical dots (⋮) located on the far right side of that record's row.

3.Select archive:

Select Archive from the dropdown menu.

4.Confirm:

When the confirmation prompt appears, click Archive to finalize.

 

Viewing Archived Records

Once archived, records are hidden from your main list. You can view them at any time using filters.

1.Open filters:

Navigate to SetupCustomer Types and click the Filter button.

2.Apply the archive filter:

Tick the box for View archived records, then click Search and Filter.

Unarchiving a Record (Restoring)

If you need to use an archived customer type again, you can bring it back to your active list.

1.Find the archived record:

Follow the Viewing Archived Records steps above to bring up your hidden list.

2.Open the menu:

Click the three vertical dots (⋮) to the right of the archived record.

3.Restore:

Select Restore from Archive from the dropdown menu to make it active again.
