How to Update Your Email or 2FA Phone Number in Scribe
Steps
1. Access User Profile

Log in to Scribe.

Click on your Council Name located in the top right-hand corner of the screen.

Select the User Profile option from the dropdown menu.
2. Initiating the Change

Under the profile settings, locate the field for either Email or Phone Number.

Click the Change button next to the information you wish to update.
3. Enter New Details

In the provided field, enter your new email address or your new phone number.

Enter your current Scribe password to authorize the change.
4. Verification Process

Click on Send Verification Code.

For Email: Check your new email inbox for the verification code.

For Phone: Check your new mobile device for the SMS verification code.
5. Confirm and Save

Enter the verification code back into the Scribe prompt.

Click Save Email (or Save Phone).

A confirmation message will appear indicating the change was successful.
6. Verify Update

The system updates the information immediately.

To double-check, click on your Council Name > User Profile again to ensure the new details are displayed.
โ ๏ธ Important Security Note: Once a change is successfully made to either your email or phone number, an automated email notification will be sent to advise that a change has been made to your account.
